A look back at a conference focused on inclusion and the importance of making adaptive equipment available.
Gilles, owner of Zero Limit’, recently had the opportunity to speak at the annual conference of the RFABC (Recreation Facilities Association of British Columbia), in front of parks and recreation professionals from municipalities across British Columbia.
His presentation, titled “Why Adaptive Equipment Is Costly and How Recreation Facilities Can Lead Inclusivity,” addressed the realities faced by people with disabilities, including the challenges related to accessing adaptive equipment. It also highlighted the key role that recreation facilities can play in building more inclusive environments.
A special thank you to Chantel Kosmynka for her participation and for sharing her inspiring experience with the implementation of adaptive equipment in the City of Delta. An enriching exchange, centered on real-world accessibility challenges.
